Scope
This Privacy Policy applies when you visit Savetopod, create an account, complete the listening questionnaire, submit content, generate or play audio, manage a subscription, or use an Savetopod browser extension.
Third-party websites and payment services have their own privacy practices. Their policies apply when you leave Savetopod or interact directly with those services.
Information we collect
We collect information you provide, information created through your use of Savetopod, and limited technical information needed to operate and secure the service.
- Account information, such as email address, authentication provider, and account identifiers.
- Listening profile answers, language, content interests, playback preferences, and product settings.
- Links, extracted article text, documents, generated scripts, audio, titles, covers, and related processing status.
- Usage and technical data, such as browser type, device information, IP address, timestamps, diagnostics, security events, and interactions with product features.
- Subscription status, product, currency, and transaction references. Full card details are handled by the payment provider and should not be stored by Savetopod.
How we use information
We use information to provide accounts, personalize listening, fetch and transform authorized content, generate and deliver audio, synchronize your Queue, process subscriptions, provide support, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, improve performance, and comply with legal obligations.
We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand feature performance and improve the service where it can no longer reasonably identify you.
AI processing and service providers
To create audio, Savetopod may send relevant source content, instructions, and generated text to contracted hosting, extraction, AI, text-to-speech, storage, authentication, analytics, email, and payment providers. These providers process information to perform services for Savetopod under their own security and contractual obligations.
Do not submit confidential, sensitive, or regulated information unless the product expressly supports that use and you are authorized to do so.
When information is shared
We may share information with service providers that operate Savetopod, when you request or authorize an integration, to protect users and the service, to investigate abuse, to comply with law or lawful requests, or as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, or sale subject to appropriate safeguards.
Savetopod does not sell personal information for money. If our practices change in a way that creates additional legal choices, we will provide the required notice and controls.
Storage and retention
We retain account, listening profile, submitted content, generated output, billing references, and security records for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations.
Retention periods may differ by data type and account state. When information is deleted, residual copies may remain temporarily in backups or where retention is legally required.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information, including access controls and trusted service providers. No online system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access or loss will never occur.
Keep your credentials private and contact us through the product support channel if you suspect unauthorized activity.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of personal information. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
You can change some preferences in the product, cancel a subscription through the available billing controls, or request account and data assistance through the support channel. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Cookies and local storage
Savetopod uses cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember language and questionnaire progress, maintain security, and measure essential product performance. Future analytics or advertising technologies will require appropriate disclosure and consent controls where applicable.
Children, international processing, and updates
Savetopod is not directed to children who cannot legally consent to data processing in their location. If you believe a child has provided information without valid permission, contact us through the product support channel.
Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we will use appropriate transfer safeguards. We may update this policy as the service changes; the effective date above shows the latest version.
